Hey! I’m back for a #12MonthsofDIY challenge!

Each month, 12 Canadian bloggers use the same item or theme are create something completely unique. Last month we used wood and paint together, and I created my Industrial Side Table (one of my FAV projects!). My life has been taken over these past few weeks by the One Room Challenge, where I’m transforming my guest bedroom into a new Industrial styled space. So, I’m sticking with the same theme, and making a DIY wall sconce for our new bedroom as part of this month’s DIY challenge!

When Crates went on Sale at Michaels,

I knew I had the perfect storage solution for my craft room.
When crates went on sale at Michael I just had to try a storage idea I saw on Pinterest. I purchased 4 of them.

Who said you can’t make furniture out of 2×4’s ?!

Check out how I made this bench with a few 2×4’s and some elbow grease.

absolutely love how this bench turned out. It was quite a journey putting all the pieces together but in the end it was all worth it. It’s definitely not an easy project but I can vouch for it….. After a year of constant use the durability is outstanding.

Around this time last year,

I created a garden style wall monogram for my littlest sister’s wall above her bed. I love it to pieces but it missing something and well I couldn’t figure it out right away. This wall was missing its wow factor and now it has one with this beautiful wall garden is just what this wall needed.

One night my friend texted me asking about furniture restoration.

She had saved an old dresser from the trash but did not know how to make it beautiful again. It was an older style, antique dresser. It was wood but it had veneer drawer fronts. After some back and forth we discovered her style and color preferences and made a plan. I couldn’t wait to turn this poor, decrepit dresser into the ravishing beauty she deserved to be!

I neglected to take a full before picture with the drawers in place. The body of the dresser was in pretty good shape. It took an evening of sanding to get the body flawless.
