How Easy to Make Front Porch Welcome Post!

This welcome post is such a lovely

way decorate for any occasion.

This project is pretty easy, but you do need a few power tools to make it. It consists of a 4×4 cedar fence post, a fence post cap, finial, 2×12 pine board, deck post wood trim, and some corner trim for the base.

Fortunately, we were able to use scraps we had from other projects.

How to Organize Your Entryway in a Day With a Corner Unit?

In NYC, every nook and cranny should be utilized!

As soon as you walk into this apartment, you’re smacked in the face with a long and narrow hallway to your left and the only bathroom directly in front of you. Where do you drop your keys? The mail? Your purse? We hate shoes piling up on the floor more than anything, so we knew we had to come up with something creative. We had a 14″ x 12″ corner full of valuable real estate, but we knew we couldn’t just install boring floating shelves or shop forever for a perfectly-sized, expensive piece of furniture. Reclaimed wood, old spindles, and plumbing fittings and piping would do just the trick. We created a tall corner unit with 5 shelves–perfect for catching those small everyday items that can otherwise make your entryway look cluttered.

Make Elegant Bedroom Bunny Hutch From Dresser

Ugly, poorly painted,

but sturdy $50 Craigslist Dresser.

I was originally planning on keeping the door for access, but quickly realized it would not give enough access to the corners for cleaning or bunny wrangling.

How to Remove Old Nasty Carpet From Stairs?

The old carpet on my stairs was worn

out and stained. It’s time was up and it needed to go. I’d seen other projects of people painting their stairs, so this is what I did with mine.

Only tools I used for this job was a palm sander, a small nail gun, assorted pry bars/nail pullers, hammer, a putty knife,

a coping saw, caulk gun, and a paint brush.
