Peek A Boo Bowl

I found this bowl at Goodwill and had

an idea to bring it back to life.

I am going to use a stain medium so I needed to apply something that would ensure it would adhere. I first taped oft the metal base and the I applied Mod Podge to the entire bowl.

How to Makeover Fireplace?

Brick fireplace makeover

with stained wood.

Just moved in and this above was just not going to work. If you look close it has cracks in it repaired half a**ed. It’s the focal point in the room. We were getting new carpets so, I decided to tackle the FP before they were installed.

DIY Project.. Oh the Things I Have Learned

I had a boring old plain Jane beige 80’s bathroom.

I desperately wanted to do something but had never done anything other than paint a wall.
I had to look up on youtube how to put a drill bit into a drill. So many lessons I learned in doing this. Trust me when I say nothing went right the first time. This site and all blog DIYer’s sites provided me with the courage to give it a go..
I have now tackled the entire house..Yikes!
The different things I did.
The miracle of paint. I painted the entire tub area, the floor, cabinets. Textured my walls with drywall mud, made a concrete counter top and replaced all faucets and made a mirror mosaic on the existing plate glass mirror.

DIY Barn Wood!

I know we all have dreams of finding that perfect

aged vintage barn wood, but when we do the price is usually insane! I was recently contacted by Pioneer Woods about a new product that they make that can take new wood and it makes it appear old! Ohh and no jars of vinegar and steel wool to make it happen! I was hoping this product would be a good match along side my DIY chalk paint additives and natural waxes! It’s not just a perfect fit, it’s a match made in heaven!
