Today, here in New York,

it is gorgeous, sunny and 62 degrees outside. Yes, there is still snow on the ground from our big snow storm we had a week or so ago, but spring is definitely just around the bend and I couldn’t be more excited! Spring for me means sunshine (yeah yeah, I know, there will be “April showers” but I’m just thinking sunshine right now), birds chirping, the fresh smell of the air, beautiful blooms and a new baby girl for me and Rob. This project is the perfect addition to my spring decor and I hope y’all love it as much as I do! It was easy to make and can be changed up to match whatever season we’re in and whatever style you may have.

Do you have some flower pots lying

round that are not exactly pretty? I have several: some are Terracotta and some are plastic. I wanted to give them an update that was quick and easy.

Step 1: I started with these flower pots that are not very attractive.

When we started the renovations on the house,

we had set a budget aside. As with all things nothing goes according to plan, so we ended up spending most of it on other rooms (more important than my craft room). When it came to the craft room, which was a bonus to me, I needed to get creative, use things I already had at home, repurpose, repaint and rethink everything!! Here is what I did!!

I have been dying to paint something with

some pink and this was the perfect candidate! I found this great vanity that needed a romantic makeover.

I started by giving it a good cleaning with a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water. I let it dry good and started with a couple coats of white.

With spring just around the corner,

over here at Hometalk we decided to step up our plant game. The only issue was that we didn’t have a watering can. Of course we decided that we could make our own! We decided to wait until we finished our milk that we use for coffee and up-cycle it. We only had to wait about two days..
