Filling in the chalk outline
Katie filled in the chalk outline with black chalk paint.
She used a fine-tip brush and let it dry.
Next she used an orbital sander to smooth out the handpainted lettering and distressed the edges of each folding tray.
At the end she applied one coat of polycrylic, and let it dry overnight.
