One night my friend texted me asking about furniture restoration.

She had saved an old dresser from the trash but did not know how to make it beautiful again. It was an older style, antique dresser. It was wood but it had veneer drawer fronts. After some back and forth we discovered her style and color preferences and made a plan. I couldn’t wait to turn this poor, decrepit dresser into the ravishing beauty she deserved to be!

I neglected to take a full before picture with the drawers in place. The body of the dresser was in pretty good shape. It took an evening of sanding to get the body flawless.

I had already installed horizontal planks

in other parts of my beach home.
So I thought the vertical plank project would be something a novice carpenter like me would find pretty managable.

It is finally time for our Master Bedroom Reveal!

This room has been by far the most challenging room to date. We had numerous setbacks and there were times I wanted to pull my hair out but it all came together in the end.
If you have been following our journey you know that we purchased dark furniture when we moved into our home, only to regret it a short time later. We did not take the time and actually think about what we wanted from the space or how we wanted our home to feel. Needless to say, we are now having to go room by room redoing everything! odds are you know what these super cute little toys are. If you don’t, you still may have seen them! These cute little collectable Tsum Tsum toys are all the rage for Disney fans these days, and my girls have quite the collection. They are always all over the house, I needed a way to store them.

We’ve been working on our backyard this year,

and a water feature was something that we really wanted to add to our space. Although we thought that installing a trio of gurglers would be complicated, we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was a very simple job – we finished in under 3 hours!
