I don’t know about y’all but being a southern

girl living in New York, I pray for warmer weather any chance I get, because warmer weather means more sunshine, more bright colors and more flowers. Thankfully, this winter has been mild for us here on Long Island (of which I’m very grateful), but I’m still hopeful of an early spring—so much though that I am beginning to get in to my fresh flower craze around the house. I’m so loving this super quick and easy project to display your spring beauties in, and I’m even loving the fact that you can add your personality to them just by changing up the colors and designs.

Egg in soap? Really?! Yes, absolutely! Eggs are believed to offer many skin care benefits including tightening skin, shrinking pores, and calming redness and breakouts. When you use egg in cold process soap, the egg yolks are treated as a fat. This gives the soap a rich, thick lather. Egg whites, on the other hand, don’t contain fat. However, they do contain protein which has an astringent effect on skin.

Hello friends! For a few weeks,

I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of matching lamps for our master bedroom….Lamps that had pretty curves for the right price!
My goal was to get a steal of a deal…no more than $15 each. I realize that’s cheap, but I also knew that, with a little patience, I could find what I was looking for. So a few weeks ago, I found these beauties at a yard sale! The man was selling the lamps for $5 each. But since I wasn’t certain that the lamps worked, I offered $4 for the PAIR, and he said yes! Can you believe it?! I kept my fingers crossed, hoping that when I plugged them in at home, they’d actually turn on. Aaaaaand….they did! Score! Sometimes it doesn’t always work that way (regarding electronics at yard sales), but yay for times when it does!!
