On the top of the house
The house had been empty for over two years and the most important thing was to secure the structure. The roof was original from 1989 and leaked. They had to repair it and make the roof waterproof.
The main chimney was a problem, too. Many stones and chunks of mortar came slid down the old roof during while the family was working. They added stones to the main chimney. It was a very dangerous work, because the chimney’s top was about 36 feet off the ground.
