The man from Winter Park, FL wanted to install a TV on the wall. So, he removed a section of drywall with a keyhole saw and screwed some 1/2″ thick pressure treated plywood to the studs. Drywall is typically 1/2″ thick so this will flush out with the existing wall. The man used plywood to give a larger area to attache the mounting bracket. Don’t attach the bracket holding your television to drywall only, as this will not provide enough strength to hold the weight of the television.
