Continue with your medium color paint,
following the same steps as before. After that coat dries, you can start spot painting with the lightest color – just make sure you smooth it as you go as this is the last layer of paint. Apply wherever you may think some light spots should be.
Follow with sanding down the entire table again, to blend all the layers together. Finally, apply a finishing coat – it is better to use a matte or satin finish as opposed to a shiny one to avoid too much blink – you want the table to look as rustic and natural as possible.
