Rusty Lanterns Made by Tin Can

Making hearts

After the water was frozen, Christine cut a piece of paper to fit onto the height of the can. She drew a design of heart on the paper.

Then she used sharpie and marked little dots on the outlines to use as a marking for the holes when she hammered.

She wrapped the paper around the can, securing with either tape in the back and used a rubber band.

Christine used a large nail and hammer into the marked dots, the ice was preventing the can from getting swooshed while she was hammering away!

She poked holes along the sides of the can because she wanted to add handles.
