Pine wood planks
From Home Depot the owner picked up some really nice pine wood planks.
The owner cut them so that they were about 1 inch bigger than the base of the table.
It was cut with a hand saw.
The owner placed the planks on the workbench and used another piece of board to make sure they were aligned.
The owner used clamps to hold down the first plank and took a smaller wood strip and drilled holes before screwing it to the table top.
