The only full bathroom is the biggest renovation
project to take on in our tiny apartment makeover, but it is proving to have the biggest impact! With the neutral tile we selected, I wanted to have a little fun with the paint color.

In the spirit of the new year,
I have one resolution that I intend to keep! My nightstand tends to be a bit of a dump heap. It is a lot like some people’s junk drawers — I just toss stuff in there when I am tidying up, but I am sick of having to dig through it every time I need something. I have come up with a couple of DIYs to help keep my nightstand clean and organized. I have also made over an old nightstand so I have “brand new” nightstand to keep clean this year.
If you have a bedroom that needs a little touch
to make the room complete, this is definitely a project worth looking into. As a kid, I always loved the thought of a 4-post bed — there’s something princess-y about it I guess. So now, instead of a princess, you can feel like a queen in your castle! 🙂
BEFORE: I love my sister-in-law’s room…the color scheme is so HER, and everything meshes so well. However, as soon as I thought of doing this project, I thought of her because I felt that it would add a element of romance and maturity to her space..
This antique coffee table was given to me by my neighbor.
When I refinish a piece and want to re-stain the top I either use my sander or use this Citristrip/Saran Wrap trick. I use the CS/SW trick when there are layers and layers of paint or delicate creases & details. The Citristrip gets in the crevices and does the job. The Saran Wrap is Citristrip’s side kick! It keeps the heat in and makes the Citristrip work more effectively.
