There are two types of gardeners in the world:

clumpers and splitters. I admit it-I am a clumper. I cringe at the idea of cutting my babies up into pieces. I would rather leave them alone so they can get big. Wait, not big-huge. I want huge Hostas. Digging them up and dividing them can set them back and, to be honest, I do not like doing that because it takes some varieties forever to reach a good size. A solution I came up with is minimally invasive, and it does not set my Hosta back like digging up the entire clump does.

A backsplash is one of those elements that

can take your kitchen to the next level. It instantly makes a kitchen stand out when it’s done right. Luckily, it doesn’t have to cost you a fortune. It was one of the most affordable projects in our kitchen renovation, yet I think it’s the one thing that makes our kitchen shine the most.

I’m here to guide you through a two-part series on how we did this ourselves and saved hundreds.

I found this vintage pedestal table at a thrift store.

There was significant damage to the scalloped veneer edging and even the cashier and the lady behind me in line thought it was hopeless. But they wished me luck all the same!

My “Plan A” was to repair the edging. My “Plan B” was a little vague, so luckily Plan A worked!

We gave a 1980’s bathroom a modern

update on about $1000 budget.

My sister wanted help with renovating her guest bath now that her daughters were out of the house. It was pretty dated and felt really small. She had previously scraped off the wallpaper, painted, and added a border – popular in the early 90’s.

My inspiration for this project is a beautiful

White Opal pendant that belong to my Grandmother. With all the awesome faux stone techniques coming out, I decided to try creating an Opal technique. When I started, my plans were to go in a completely different direction but as always with Unicorn SPiT plus my wild imagination, I never know exactly what I will end up with! I knew I wanted to create an opal look, but I had no idea how at first to accomplish this look.
