Your environment is as important as you are, so let’s find a way to incorporate more of what is specific to your taste and preference and less of everything else. We often find that store-purchased products are lookalikes to each other and we want to build something unique. Hence, the power of a DIY creation – it has all the best colors, features, textures and it cannot be repeated, even when it’s produced in the exact same way for a second time.
We share little shots of gratitude, awe, and inspiration in this category! There is so much you can do that is cheap, effective and adventurous. Most of the ideas we share are easily achievable on a budget, make us of things you already have lying around in cabinets and drawers. Grab your brushes, scissors, the old buttons from that winter coat and a cup of coffee – we have a lot to share!

This paneling helped me give our dining room
a fresh new look. The total project came in $8 *under* budget. Thrifty!
Panels are 4′ x 8′. Our ceiling to floor height is 12′. Purchased at Home Depot for $26 per panel.
Hub screwed panel into studs then used finishing nails for extra security.
Follow my simple technique for perfectly
patterned mini blinds!
I used Americana Decor Outdoor Living paints and the Americana Decor Indian Ikat stencil for this project.

I had this sad looking bare dresser.
Gave it a good sanding, filled in original holes and made new correct ones for the new hardware.
Constantly changing around
and playing with my home decor is one of the things I love most about being a home blogger.
Mixing patterns, matching colors, moving furniture and accessories around is so rewarding, and can give an entirely new look to my home (usually without having to buy a thing)!
This washi tape door decor is an easy and oh-so-versatile way to change up your home decor with big impact, and little cost!
