I found this vintage jewelry box

that looks like a mini dresser. I absolutely adore it ❤ I came up with a refinishing game plan…a gorgeous green (Dixie Belle’s palmetto), with copper accents and metal leaf (full tutorial here https://www.hometalk.com/41494528/jewelry-box-makeover-using-metal-leaf ) I got started with my typical prep…clean, sand, fill, sand, clean. Then started to lay on the palmetto, two coats to be exact. Then I finally noticed a piece of molding was missing on one of the small drawers! It don’t know how it took prep and two coats of paint before I noticed 😄 My OCD wasn’t going to allow me to let it slide. If you’ve checked out my previous projects, you know how much I love bondo! I use this stuff all the time! And again for this problem. I was able to make a mold using one of the good drawers and use that mold to make the new piece of molding that I needed. Here is step by step how I was able to save this project….

I have garden fever

and was looking for a spring wreath to kick off gardening season. After seeing all the garden hose wreaths on Pinterest, I decided to add a twist and incorporate a pair of wellies, making it easy to add some garden blooms!

Since my wreath was going to hang on my Potting Shed door, I wanted to use real flowers on my wreath. Adding a pair of wellies or rainboots as vases makes it easy to add some seasonal blooms!

So when I debuted Collin’s nursery design, I knew a follow-up “how to blog” was coming for the feature woodland art I created for above his dresser. I really do believe it is the piece that ties the entire space together!

Today, I want to share a pillow

that I made for our kitchen space. It’s so simple yet very chic. This DIY Woven Pillow (in 5 Minutes!) is made out of accent rug!

We recently did a three room makeover by painting

and adding wainscoting. It REALLY made such a difference in our house and we’ve been LOVING the facelift! What I didn’t show you, was the BIG nook in our family room that we left out of our makeover! Beware…. It’s pretty ugly.
