boards cut.
Sand off all the rough edges with a 90 grit sandpaper. Now you are ready to stain your base wood the stain color of your choice. Our favorite is a water based stain made by Olympic called “espresso”. Apply the stain to all surfaces with a good quality brush using straight strokes in the same direction of the wood grain. Wipe wet stain off immediately with a dry cotton rag or old T shirt.
