I do recommend that you plug the holes on the inside with fabric or paper and hot glue in order for your filler to not fall through the hole the gum balls are supposed to go through.
I’ve used mine as a terrarium for faux succulents. You can fill the inside of the gum ball machines with all types of things.
And at Christmastime, it’s easy to turn these into pretty winter snow globes.
Remove the succulents and rocks.
Add epsom salt, and few miniature trees (I found mine at Target) and a vintage looking Hot Wheels car to the inside.
Tie on a festive bow, and you’re snowscape is complete !
