we’ve lived in – four were painted kitchen
cabinets and one home had a stained Cherry cabinet and it was certainly beautiful but not my favorite. I was the designer on all of the kitchens (including the stained cherry) with the exception of one – and it was a professional high end kitchen with majority of painted cabinets. I prefer paint and I’m not a huge lover of stained maple – especially the yellowy/orangey color. It just does NOT go with my decor. Years down the road, this cabinet eventually can be changed with either a good dose of sandpaper or a different color paint. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder or whoever lives in the home ; )
