Bamboo Blinds/Shades Fix

Step 3: Use tape and tape around (tightly) where you are going to cut. Use some extra tape and an inch or two in and tape again. The second set of tape will help keep everything together once you are cutting.

Step 4: Use a miter saw to cut off the end.

Step 5: Drill new holes in your wood so that you can hang your shades up.
* We had to do this because we cut off the original mounting spot. Depending on how much you cut on each side will make this a must do or not. The second picture above shows where the bracket will slide up into to mount.

Step 6: Hang your shades. We choose to cut the two outer shades on both sides. We also choose to cut both sides of the two outer shades. You can see above that the left shade is smaller (about 6 inches total) than the middle.

This picture shows the “cut” side of the bamboo. It’s not noticeable at all!

This shows how the three sets of blinds sync up together.
